Anglers and other recreationists are advised that the Treasure Island Public Access Area (PAA) south of Saratoga is closed temporarily.
Heavy equipment is on the scene working to improve the site.

Because of the construction, the parking lot and the boat ramp are closed until mid-October. Boaters floating the North Platte River near Treasure Island are asked to avoid the west channel around the island until the project is completed.

A river restoration portion of the project will improve safety at the launch site during low water flows, and safety for boats floating past the area during high water flows. The project also includes improvements to the parking lot to allow more vehicles and better traffic flow.
