Medicine Bow moving closer to police chief hire

The Town of Medicine Bow hopes to hire a police chief early next year. The job may come with hosing. Officials there are looking at properties in the town to include with the final offer. Emma Diercks has the story.

Restaurant serves free meals to 1,500 on Thanksgiving

In Rawlins: a local restaurant owner received help from city councilmen, police officers, doctors and countless other volunteers during a recent holiday push to provide hot meals to hungry residents on Thanksgiving.

Thanks to their efforts, more than 1,000 people received a free turkey dinner, complete with all the fixings. More than 500 residents had hot meals delivered straight to their doors. Cali O’Hare has more.

 

Safety improvements coming to I-80

WYDOT is moving forward with Interstate 80 safety project that was awarded with federal funds last year.

The state highway department is in the design stage now and hopes to begin construction as soon as the fall of next year. Emma Diercks has more.

Rec center bid rejected

The City of Rawlins recently rejected the single bid it received from a company interested in replacing the fire alarm system at the Family Recreation Center.

The project has since been re-bid, and is expected to cost more than $50,000. Cali O’Hare reports.
