County commissioners polling public on proposed tax

As county officials move forward with a new specific purpose tax proposed for a May 2019 ballot, the Board of Carbon County Commissioners is polling the public. Carbon County residents can expect to a receive a detailed summary of the tax proposal in the mail, followed by a public opinion survey that they are urged to complete and return. Encampment applies for $500K grant for sewer lagoon project

Peak Asphalt recognized by OSHA for safety practices

A Rawlins business was recently recognized for its participation in a prestigious safety program provided by OSHA. If Peak Asphalt continues its safety record for another year, the local business will be a candidate for another federal honor. Cali O’Hare reports.

 

 

Casper construction company proposing man camp on CCSD2 land

A Casper construction company is hoping to use Carbon County School District Two land in Medicine Bow for a man camp to house wind energy workers. The district has allowed the company to survey the land so they can develop a proposal to be presented at the next board meeting. Emma Diercks has the story.
