  • With a vote Monday evening from the Carbon County School District #2 Board of Trustees, two new principals have officially been hired on for the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Four new state troopers with the Wyoming Highway Patrol were sworn in last Thursday during a formal ceremony at the Wyoming Supreme Court. Two will be on patrol in and around Carbon County.
  • In the latest annual health rankings for the State of Wyoming, Carbon County is again ranked near the bottom – coming 22nd on the list of 23 counties.
  • Plans for celebrating this summer’s 150th Anniversary of the founding of Rawlins Springs with the arrival of the Union Pacific Railroad are chugging along. Tonight, event organizers will request the Rawlins City Council consider authorizing the submission of two grants to help cover expenses.
  • Participating agencies and communities in the South Central Wyoming Emergency Medical Services Joint Powers Board will meet this evening to reorganize the board and move forward with business. Received message that the representative for Elk Mountain is Ralph Brokaw.
