  • Monday may have been the toughest day Governor Matt Mead has spent on the job since he was sworn in to office almost eight years ago. Wearing a black apron, the Governor hurried back and forth behind the counter at Lollypops on Bridge Street in Saratoga, keeping up with the rush of orders for ice cream cones. The little desert shop was bustling with customers and all eyes were on the new employee. The flat and lopsided shapes of the ice cream cones coming across the counter was evident that the governor faced a stiff learning curve. Nobody cared. Everybody was smiling. While filling an order fro a double scoop of butter pecan in a waffle cone, the Governor said he was in town to launch National Travel and Tourism week in Wyoming.
  • Republican candidate for governor Sam Galeotos visited Encampment last night. He shared his vision of controlling state spending and creating jobs.
  • The Hanna Elk Mountain track team is coming off of a solid performance and heading into the regional meet this weekend.
