Plane crash details released

The National Transportation Safety Board has released additional details regarding the small-plane crash that killed three Rawlins men on September 23rd, 2017. Although the NTSB has not released the final report yet, preliminary findings point to poor weather conditions as the cause of the fatal crash. Cali O’Hare has more.

Public lands committee to vote on wilderness study area recommendations

Carbon County Commissioners will vote today on recommendations for Carbon County’s four Wilderness Study Areas. The local Wyoming Public Lands Initiative Committee met yesterday to finalize their proposals. As part of their final decision-making, the panel rejected the Wild and Scenic Designation for the Encampment River Canyon Wilderness Study Area. Emma Diercks has been following the progress of the local public lands committee, and filed this latest update.

 

HMS opens temporary medical clinic in community center

According to a public statement issued yesterday by the Healthcare Sustainability Project Committee in conjunction with Health Management Services, LLC, the company is providing healthcare to residents of the Platte Valley ahead of schedule. Under the new management of HMS, the Platte Valley Clinic has opened a temporary medical facility at the Platte Valley Community Center with operating hours of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here to read the entire statement.
