The 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon is less than eight weeks away, and one Rawlins resident is preparing an extra special memorial service.

Alice ‘Tink’ Day has organized a ceremony every year on the anniversary of that fateful day. This year, she’s planned two events during which participants can climb, walk, or run in the name of a first responder who died in the line of duty on September 11th, 2001.

All Carbon County residents, particularly first responders, military personnel and veterans, are encouraged to register. Cali O’Hare has the details.
