For the second consecutive year, Memorial Hospital of Carbon County will host an accelerated nursing program in partnership with the University of Wyoming. The program is called BRAND. It offers students who already have a bachelor’s degree the chance to earn a degree in nursing in just 15 months.

Students spend the second half of the semester immersed in the practice of medicine, caring for patients at medical facilities in Wyoming, like the hospital in Rawlins.

Cali O’Hare spoke with one of the nursing students and his instructor and filed this report.
