More controversy emerges around Saratoga medical clinic inventory list
The Town of Saratoga has not been able to provide an officially documented inventory list for the Corbett Medical Building since making allegations that the previous provider took items from the clinic. Rawlins Dollar Tree set to close in January
Another Rawlins retailer will close its doors. This time, it is a chain store rather than a locally owned business. The Dollar Tree is expected to close up shop by the end of next month. Cali O’Hare reports.
Wind energy company contesting commissioners’ decision
The company developing the Little Medicine Bow wind energy project in Shirley Basin is contesting a decision by county commissioners this summer. The Carbon County Board of Commissioners granted a building permit for a trailer without power or water as permanent residence to a neighboring ranch that is eyeing a wind energy project of its own.
The county’s decision stalled the Little Medicine Bow project and could result in additional costs because the wind turbines will have to be relocated. Emma Diercks reports that Little Medicine Bow S LLC has requested a contested hearing to appeal the decision.
New program in development to support recovering drug addicts
The Carbon County Alliance for Drug Endangered Children is establishing a subcommittee that will develop a new program to support recovering addicts. After hearing testimony that there isn’t enough support for people trying to get, and stay, sober, the alliance plans to use grant funds to fill the gap. Cali O’Hare has more.
