The Saratoga Town Council took a second look at the lease agreement for the Platte Valley Medical Clinic, but still did not approve it. A lengthy discussion left the governing body wanting further legal review. Emma Diercks reports.

The race for Saratoga Town Council is no longer much of a competition. Kimberly Hytrek has dropped out leaving three candidates vying for two positions up for election and one left vacant last month. Emma Diercks has more.

Rawlins residents weigh in on urban deer reduction plan

Due to a publishing error, the Rawlins City Council was unable to conduct business during Tuesday’s meeting, but that didn’t stop Rawlins residents from weighing in on the proposed urban deer reduction plan. Cali O’Hare was at the meeting and filed this report.

 

 

13th Street gets much-needed repairs

Crews worked to complete the surface repair project last week on a short section of 13th Street in Saratoga. The town, working in partnership with a county crew, used mill tailings left over from the recent airport runway rehabilitation project to create the street’s new smooth surface. Town and county crews performed similar repair work on the road to the Saratoga landfill last month.

Rawlins youth crisis center gets makeover

On Tuesday afternoon, the Board of Carbon County Commissioners toured the newly expanded youth crisis center in Rawlins. Work to add nearly 2,500-square feet of living space to the facility is nearly complete, Cali O’Hare joined in on the tour and filed this report.
