The Wyoming Cowboys defeated Air Force 69-62 after going on a 7-0 run after the game was tied late at 62.
Kevin McKinney had the call after the Pokes rallied for the comeback win inside the Arena Auditorium. Wyoming was down by 10 at the half, but rallied down the stretch, outscoring Air Force 41-24 in the second frame. The Cowboys attacked in the paint, overcoming the Falcons down the stretch.
Wyoming is now 12-15 overall, 5-11 in conference play. Air Force remains winless in Mountain West play.
Guard Obi Agbim led all scorers with 22 points. When the game was tied late in the second half, Agbim put the Cowboys ahead with a three-point shot.
Cole Henry added a career high 16 points with almost 30 minutes of court time.
After the win, Head Coach Sundance Wicks said he was proud about how his team toughened up and outplayed the Falcons for the win at home. Wicks talked about the game plan he used after being down by ten at the half.
The Pokes shot 46.3 percent from the field with the Falcons shooting 46.9 percent. Wyoming was held to just six threes on the night out of 17 attempts.
Wyoming closes their two game homestand inside the Arena Audtiorium on Saturday hosting San Jose State in a 2 p.m. start.
NOTE: The Cowgirls lost at Boise State Tuesday night, falling 78-73, snapping a five-game winning streak.
