In Sports, the Wyoming Cowgirls snapped a four-game losing streak with a blistering 88-73 win over San Jose State Wednesday night.

The Cowgirls had no trouble on the coast, leading by as many as 35 points. Wyoming knocked down 15-three pointers in the contest. They came early and often during a hot-shooting night for the Wyoming women.

David Settle had the call on the Wyoming Sports Network as the Cowgirls built a 21-point lead by the half. The win was never in doubt.

The 88 points the Cowgirls put up was a season-high for the Wyoming women. Tess Barnes led all scorers by tying a career-high with 21 points, her second 20-point outing of the season. Barnes shot 8-of-12 overall from the floor and made 5-of-8 from beyond-the-arc. Malene Pedersen went for 14 points on the night on 6-for-9, while Allyson Fertig recorded her eighth double-double of the season and the 27th of her career.

After a record night on the coast, the Cowgirls come home for senior day on Saturday when Wyoming hosts Fresno State at 1 p.m. in the Arena Auditorium.
