Four Wyoming Cowgirls finished with double-figures in Saturday’s dominating 68-51 win over Air Force at the Academy Saturday afternoon.

Wyoming remains undefeated in Mountain West play. The 3-0 start is the Cowgirls best start in league play since winning the first three games of the 2019-2020 season.

Head coach Heather Ezell said her team played 40-minutes of “Wyoming-pace, Wyoming basketball.” A solid scouting effort kept the women on task all afternoon.

The Cowgirls were down 19-15 at the end of the first quarter. The first half featured seven lead changes and four ties as Wyoming and Air Force looked evenly matched. Down the stretch, the Cowgirls pulled away as Emily Melleama hit a big three pointer.

The Cowgirls led Air Force for nearly 30 minutes the rest of the way.  The Cowgirls dominated inside, outscoring the Falcons 50-20 in the paint.

Wyoming now returns home for a Wednesday night showdown with San Diego State. It will be the Cowgirls’ only game of this week after the two road games last week.
