The Mountain West Conference released the final football schedule for next year’s final season before realignment will change the face of the conference.
In next year’s final Mountain West season, Wyoming will face San Jose State, Nevada, UNLV and Colorado State make the trip to Laramie for the Border War inside War Memorial Stadium. Meanwhile, the Cowboys will head out on the road to challenge San Diego State, Air Force, Hawaii and Fresno State.
Dates and times for each game will be announced at a later date. Wyoming will not play defending conference champion Boise State or Utah State, two of the five programs exiting the Mountain West ahead of the 2026 season.
Wyoming will open the 2025 season at Akron on Aug. 30. The Cowboys will then host Northern Iowa on Sept. 6 for the Laramie home opener. The Cowboys will get Utah for a second consecutive home game in Week 3 on Sept. 13 before traveling to Boulder to play Colorado in Week 4 on Sept. 20.
Next year’s season will unfold over 14 weeks culminating in a conference championship in the first week of December.
