Wyoming fell by one point 82-81 in a heart-breaker against South Dakota Tuesday night. The Cowboys missed a pair of free throws.

Wyoming was down by as many as nine points in the second half but scraped their way back for a possible win. Down one point with 19 seconds on the game clock, 12 on the clock shot, and things went haywire.

The Coyotes shot 45 percent from the field but Wyoming held South Dakota to four three pointers. Turnovers dogged the Cowboys all night. Wyoming gave up 19.

Head Coach Sundance Wicks accepted the blame on the game-killing turnover at the end.

The Wyoming bench provided a big boost with 39 points, including a career-high from A.J. Willis and a season-high from Dontai Allen.

Obi Agabim led all Wyoming shooters with 17.

The Cowboys remain on the road and head to Salt Lake City for a matchup against BYU in the Delta Center on Saturday at 7 p.m.
