The Wyoming Cowboys have spent the last two weeks playing away from Laramie. The last time the team was at home was November 11th, when the Cowboys defeated Cal Poly. Since then, the Pokes went two of three at the Myrtle Beach Invitational then lost games at Texas and the University of Portland.

The Cowboys are back at home tonight, two for three straight games inside the Arena Auditorium. The action starts tonight with Wyoming hosting South Dakota Mines at 6:30.

Senior guard Sam Griffin leads the team in scoring with 18.7 points per game. He is shooting 53 percent from the field and 49 percent from behind the arc. Coach Jeff Linder finally landed Griffin after chasing him since high school.

The Hardrockers come into Laramie tonight with a 4-3 record on the season. South Dakota Mines is led by Alejandro Rama at 18.3 points per game and a team high 5.6 rebounds.

Tonight’s matchup is the first-ever meeting between the Cowboys and the Hardrockers. Tonight’s tip is set for 6:30 p.m.

The Cowboys will be back in action inside the AA on Saturday when they host Stephen F. Austin in a 2 p.m. start.
