The plot thickens over how Town of Saratoga uses water funds.

The Saratoga Carbon County Impact Joint Powers Board last night discussed a letter it had received a letter from county commissioners. The letter lays out concerns commissioners have about the town using water funds to cover general fund deficits not related to its water agreement. The commissioners asked the joint powers board to audit its funds.

As a first step in the process, the joint powers board hired a Laramie law firm to firm to review its contract with the town. An audit may come later. Emma Diercks has more.
