The adult male who had been working in Carbon County for a month prior to being hospitalized here in April after being diagnosed as positive for the novel coronavirus has died. The man has not been identified by officials.

County public health nurse Jackie Wells said the man is not state resident so his death will not be reflected on Wyoming’s COVID-19 death toll, which stands at 18.

Meanwhile an 11th person in the county has tested positive for the virus.

Wells said in a statement Friday that the man was in contact with a positive case identified earlier this week. A third man, who had contact with both of them is also reported to be sick and is considered “probable” for being infected.
