Ed Buchanan got his wish. Governor Mark Gordon appointed the Wyoming Secretary of State be a District Court Judge for the Eighth Judicial District.
Buchanan decided not to run for a second term as Secretary in hopes of winning the appointment.
Before taking the bench, Secretary Buchanan will remain in office to fulfill his forthcoming duties and ensure a smooth transition before taking the bench in Wheatland.
