Wyoming Senator John Barrasso said, during remarks in the senate well Thursday, that President Joe Biden is gambling with the future of the United States with an incoherent policy that has caused an invasion at the southern border. Last week, more illegal aliens rushed the border than the population of either Casper or Cheyenne.

Senator Barrasso said that President Biden “has created the deadliest, most dangerous, and most disastrous border crisis in our nation’s history.” Wyoming’s senior senator said American laws no longer determine who gets in and who stays. A regulated process has been replaced by chaos and anarchy. Illegal immigrants are in control just by showing up at the border.
“Joe Biden waves them through,” Senator Barrasso said.

While senate Democrats are comfortable with the invasion, the Democratic governor of Arizona is not. Katie Hobbs requested that additional National Guard members be reassigned from federal duties to the southern border to help keep communities, trade and tourism in her state safe.

Hobbs said, “Arizona has continued to bear the burden of federal inaction in managing the southern border.”

The Arizona governor also asked the Democrat in the White House to reimburse her state more than $512 million dollars–$512,529,333 to be exact—for expenses borne from border operations, including migrant transportation, drug interdiction and law enforcement. The governor told the president that she anticipates “coordination between our offices to secure these funds.

Meanwhile, Top Biden administration officials were struggling on Wednesday to reach a last-minute deal for more money for Ukraine by agreeing to Senate Republican demands to bolster U.S.-Mexico border policies. No deal was reached as senators began departing Washington for the Christmas recess at home.
