The Mullen Fire has been burning in the Medicine Bow National Forest for three weeks now. As of Friday midday, it is listed at 171,031 acres and 18 percent contained.

Winds started coming out of the southwest Thursday, driving flames to north. Despite the shift in wind direction, the fire is not moving as fast as it has in past weeks. Emma Diercks has the latest.
