In Rawlins, the facilities division and central shop are two of seven Public Works sections essential to keeping the community safe and healthy. These divisions are responsible for maintaining City Hall, the Recreation Center and nearly 50 city-owned buildings, as well as a fleet of more than 200 vehicles and equipment.

Cali O’Hare spoke with the Facilities Superintendent and Central Shop Mechanic and filed this report as part of a series on National Public Works Week.
