In Saratoga, Charlie the dog is looking for a new home following the death of his elderly owner.
On Monday, March 25th, Saratoga resident, Tom Mansfield died. Mansfield left behind his eight-year-old Catahoula Lab mix, Charlie.
Before Mansfield passed, he was in and out of the hospital. During that time, Cindy Kessler occasionally looked after Charlie. With his owner now gone, Charlie has become Kessler’s responsibility. She said the dog is well mannered, fixed, and up to date on his shots.
Kessler said Charlie is fine with other dogs and enjoys walks. Kessler said she is looking for someone to adopt Charlie before she is forced to take him to the animal shelter.
Charlie is a medium sized dog with orange colored fur. Kessler said he does not like cats or small children. Charlie would do best with a family with a fenced in yard.
