The planned power outage for 30 rural customers south of Rawlins that was postponed last Thursday has been rescheduled for this Monday.

In an email to affected customers, including Bigfoot 99, Rocky Mountain Power state that while other planned interruptions have been suspended “due to weather events, this interruption is critical to preserving system reliability and safety.”

The planned power interruption is scheduled for Monday, August 15th, starting between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m.

Rocky Mountain Power advises that the outage could last as long as seven hours. About 30 customers south of Rawlins will be affected, according to the utility company.
