In Rawlins, water restrictions have been loosened following the recent spring rains and the filling of the municipal water tanks.

The city announced on its web site on Monday that residents and businesses may water their lawns as many days as desired.

The primary restriction about watering is not to irrigate during the hottest daytime hours —10 to 6 p.m.

Trees, bushes, gardens, etc. may be watered by sprinklers or by hand-held hose as desired.

In yesterday’s announcement, officials said the city water tanks are scheduled to be inspected next week.
