A Saratoga man accused of poaching will appear in court on Friday for a penalty hearing.

Tom Arthur, the owner of the Upper Cedar Creek Ranch face charges from early September for intentionally taking an antlered big game animal out of season.

During a plea hearing after Christmas, Arthur changed his initial plea of “not guilty” to “guilty.”

A penalty hearing is set for this Friday. Arthur faces financial penalty as well as the possible loss of hunting privileges in 48 states, not just Wyoming, for up to five years.
