Saratoga’s recreation director has stepped down to take a position with the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office.
During the August 5th Saratoga Town Council meeting, Mayor Chuck Davis announced that Recreation Director Carter Edwards had submitted his letter of resignation. Town Clerk Jennifer Anderson read Edwards’s letter.
Carter Edwards was hired as Saratoga’s recreation director in the fall of 2024, following the resignation of Kim Hemenway earlier in the year. August 14th was Edwards’s last day in the role.
Assistant Recreation Director Emelia Anderson was appointed to serve as interim recreation director while the Town Council searches for Edwards’s replacement.
As for his next step, Sheriff Alex Bakken announced on social media yesterday that Carter Edwards is now a detention deputy at the Carbon County Jail. Sheriff Bakken thanked Edwards and welcomed him to the Carbon County Sheriff’s team.
