Saratoga Town Council will hold a special meeting this afternoon at 3 p.m. According to an email from the town clerk, the meeting has been called to consider and act on Saratoga Police Department personnel matters.

The council may enter executive session during the meeting to discuss actions that might be taken, including the dismal of a public officer or to hear complaints or charges brought against an employee unless that person requests a public hearing. The governing body may exclude from any public or private hearing during the examination of a witness, any or all other witnesses in the matter being investigated.

Following the hearing or executive session, the governing body may deliberate on its decision in executive session.

The email did not indicate whether meeting concerns the employment of Justin Brown, who is facing a felony charge on interfering with a county deputy, as well as misdemeanor charges involving one of his police dogs.
