Saratoga Town Hall remains closed because of what is described on its social media page as a “COVID 19 related circumstance.” Mayor Creed James, presiding over last night’s council meeting in the regular chambers at the back of the town hall building, said the front offices would remain closed through Friday.

No other explanation was given at that point. However, during reports from department heads, it became known that an officer is out with COVID-19, making the lack of manpower on the police force even more of a problem. Chief Lehr, and then Sgt. Brown both spoke about operating short-handed, a situation made worse this week because of a sick officer.

Town Hall is expected to reopen on Monday. Until then, any public member needing to speak with someone at Town Hall is asked to call 326-8335.
