The Green Energy world that the Biden Administration is pushing on the United States is built on slavery and the labor of children in third world nations. Wyoming Senator John Barrasso made that argument yesterday during a Senate Energy Committee hearing.
Sen. Barrasso is a ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. His remarks yesterday were made during a full committee hearing that explored ways that the United States could counter the Republic of China’s control of critical mineral supply chains.
Wyoming’s senior senator said the senate hearing was called because the Biden Administration has allowed the U.S. to become highly dependent on imports of critical minerals and materials.
The hearing featured testimony from Tommy Beaudreau, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of the Interior; Dr. Daniel Yergin, Vice Chairman, S&P Global; and Mr. Mark Compton, Executive Director, American Exploration & Mining Association.
Sen. Barrasso clicked through a series of economic projections that project world demand for critical minerals is expanding exponentially while the White restricts domestic mining in favor of doing business with our enemies.
A recent article in the “Economist” stated that the demand for copper is up by 300 percent.
Senator Barrasso clicked through a series of indicators on the demand for critical minerals:
Graphite—2,500%
Lithium—4,200%
Copper—300%.
At the same time, the Biden Administration is cutting off access to domestic mineral development at home and increasing the dependence on adversaries with the push for electric vehicles and other so-called green technology.
Senator Barrasso said much of the demand is driven by White House policies mandating the use of electric vehicles, solar panels and wind turbines.
