The southern border of the United States is broken this morning. Title 42, instituted by then President Donald Trump, expired last night. Since Monday of this week, Border Agents have been encountering 10,000 migrants trying to cross into the country illegally each day.

The U.S. Border Patrol, overwhelmed by the numbers of illegals queuing up at border crossings this week, sent out a message this week saying the “flood gates are about to open.”

The wave of humanity has been amassing at the border for months, waiting for the pandemic-era immigration restriction policy—Title 42—to end.

The Biden Administration has failed to act, seeing political opportunity for Democrats in the chaos.

Title 42, a public health order issued during the Trump presidency to expel hundreds of thousands of migrants quickly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has expired. The Biden Administration did not present an alternative plan.

Fox News reported this week that Texas Governor Greg Abbott is taking stop-gap measures to fortify the border with Mexico using National Guard Troops.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin has been at the scene of the border crisis for over a year.

Title 42, a public health order used to expel hundreds of thousands of migrants quickly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, expired last night. The flow of non-stop illegal immigrants have been flowing across the border all week.  Without having developed an alternative plan of any kind, President Biden told reporters on Tuesday that the border was going to be “chaotic for a while.”

The situation is no different in Arizona where Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs of Arizona expressed frustration with the Biden Administration for its inaction.

Illegal crossings are also up across California. U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz said on Twitter Monday that his agents had stopped about 8,800 migrants a day over a three-day period in California. That was up from about 5,200 a day in March.

Under federal law, active-duty troops cannot directly enforce U.S. laws, including immigration laws.
