A surge of reported new coronavirus cases in Carbon County sent off alarm bells on social media sites Monday.

While most of the cases appear to be related to the outbreak at the state prison in Rawlins, the temporary closure of a restaurant and the County Assessor’s Office had some people making panicked posts on chatter platforms.

Bigfoot 99’s Cali O’Hare takes a look at what really is happening with increase in COVID-19 numbers seen yesterday.
