The Rawlins City Council again rejected bids received for the proposed splash pad at Depot Park.

The latest rejection comes five months after the governing body rejected the first bid, which was more than $500,000 over budget.

According to DDA Director and project coordinator Pam Thayer, the bids received this time around were either over budget, or did not meet statutory requirements.

Thayer thinks rebidding the splash pad for a third time will be successful. Cali O’Hare has the latest.
