The Rawlins City Council is expected cast a split vote on tonight’s second reading of an ordinance proposing to regulate the parking of campers, trailers, and other recreational-type vehicles on residential streets.

The proposed ordinance must pass three readings before it is adopted.

Although the city council passed the proposal on first reading, it chose to postpone the second reading for two reasons: the mayor was absent, and the proposed language would not give citizens the time necessary to secure storage.

Cali O’Hare continues to follow the issue.
