Rawlins residents wanted for urban deer management committee

The City of Rawlins is looking for citizens to get involved with a newly formed deer management advisory group. Two residents will be selected to serve on the committee which will develop a management plan for the city’s urban deer population. Cali O’Hare has the details.

WGFD implements management plan for black-footed ferrets

In the Shirley Basin, for the first time since reintroducing black-footed ferrets born in captivity then released into the wild, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department has created a management plan for the rare mammals. The state wildlife agency would like to see 100 ferrets in the Shirley Basin. Emma Diercks has the story.

 

 

Potential hospital management companies give public presentations next week in Rawlins

Next week, when life returns to normal after Thanksgiving, area residents are invited to attend two nights of presentations given by the healthcare companies looking to win the contract to manage Memorial Hospital of Carbon County. Representatives from each company will showcase their organization and then take questions from the steering committee. Cali O’Hare has more.

 

Rawlins man gets jail time in child abuse case

A Rawlins man expecting probation was sentenced Monday in District Court to three to five years in prison for child abuse. A plea agreement with prosecutors argued for probation, but Judge Dawnessa Snyder found jail time more appropriate. Emma Diercks reports.
