The Wyoming Cowboy football team will host the annual Spring Game inside War Memorial Stadium this Saturday, April 26 at noon. The event is free and open to the public, as the weather forecast calls for sunshine and 60-degree temps on Saturday.
Practice for Saturday’s contest focused on fundamentals this week.

Coaches are in the hunt for a new right corner following this week’s departure of returning starter Keany Parks, who entered the transfer portal this week.

Corner backs are a valued commodity in college football this spring. The 6-1 Parks, a junior, was the Cowboys only upper classmen at the spot.

Sophomore transfer B.J. Inmon, Tyrese Boss, David Leonard and Tyson Deen as coaches look to backfill the position.

Head coach Jay Sawvell said his staff will look to the transfer portal to find a replacement for Parks but admitted other schools are in the hunt, as well.

Sawvel said he hopes to see a full War Memorial Stadium crowd for the noon practice.

Due to construction on the West Side of War Memorial Stadium seating for the game will be on the East Side of the stadium. The Wildcatter Club and Suites will also be closed to fans. Concessions will feature Pizza Hut, Ranch Eats and Kettle Corn. Bathrooms will be open on the East Side of the stadium.

Wyoming will open the season on the road at the University of Akron in Ohio on Saturday, August 28.
