The Cowboys basketball team never trailed Cal Poly in Saturday night’s 80-66 win inside the Arena Auditorium. With the win, Wyoming improves to 2-and-0 on the season.

The Cowboys played in synch in the first half, making quick transitions from defense to offense with a couple of fast breaks in a row.

Keith Kelly had the call as freshman Cam Manyawu finished with the hammer to double up the score on Cal Poly early. Mayawu is the first player in the Mountain West era of Cowboy basketball to record a double-double in the first two games of his career.

The Pokes hit the road and head to the Myrtle Beach Invitational and face Saint Louis in the opening round on Nov. 16 in a contest starting at Noon MT on ESPN2.
