The Wyoming Cowgirls picked up their fifth straight win on Saturday, inside the Arena Auditorium, with a 59-54 win over San Jose State.

The Wyoming women broke the game open with a 14-1 run to start the fourth quarter and seal the win down the stretch.

Malene Pederson was the lead Wyoming scorer with 21 points. Allyson Fertig added 18.

Wyoming had a 12-9 edge in second-chance points and a 36-34 margin in points in the paint. The Spartans held a 42-40 edge in rebounding.

The Cowgirls are on the road at Boise State on Tuesday.
