The New Mexico Lobos came to Laramie on Wednesday night and delivered a 58-51 loss to Wyoming. The Cowgirls have dropped two straight and fall to 5-8 in conference play.

The Lobos improved to 8-4 as they pull off a season sweep of the regular season series with Wyoming.

The Cowgirls out-rebounded 34-to-28 and found their three-point too late in the game to mount a winning comeback. Wyoming was down 29-19 at the half.

Wyoming committed 13 turnovers, three more than New Mexico.

The Border War is up next for the Cowgirls. Colorado State is looking to fill Moby Arena and is aiming for the largest home crowd of the season and in CSU women’s basketball history, on Saturday.

CSU has dubbed it the “Pack Moby” game. Tickets are priced at $1. Looking at their history, two of the top three best-selling games in Fort Collins were against the Cowgirls. Tip Saturday is set for 2 p.m.
