In sports, the Wyoming Cowboys will look to regroup after Saturday’s ugly 14-point loss to UNLV in Sin City.

Wyoming will host Top 25 New Mexico tonight inside the Arena Auditorium. The Lobos come into Laramie with an 18-4 record, 6-and-3 in the Mountain West. The Lobos are coming off an 86-78 loss to Boise State last Tuesday, which snapped their five-game win streak. Donovan Dent scored a career-high 31 points against the Broncos.

Wyoming is 12-10 overall, 5-4 in the Mountain West, and is unbeaten at home (4-0) this season in conference play. The Cowboys split a road trip last week, winning at Air Force before falling at UNLV.

The Lobos got the best of Wyoming when they first met this season on January 6 of this year. New Mexico won at Albuquerque 77-60.

Cowboy Head Coach Jeff Linder, coming of the loss in Las Vegas seemed blasé, like he was not adding any pressure on his team when talking about tonight’s second meeting.

On Saturday, the Cowboys rallied from being down 11 with one minute to play to beat No. 24 Colorado State in overtime.

After tonight, the Cowboys will enjoy a weekend bye and return to action on Valentines Day with a matchup against another top-25 foe in Utah State in the Arena-Auditorium in a 8 p.m. start.

Tonight, Wyoming hosts New Mexico. The pregame show with Kevin McKinney and Keith Kelly launches at 6:00. Tip is 6:30 here on Bigfoot 99.
