In Washington, D.C. Senator John Barrasso addressed the high cost of living that Americans have been suffering through during the presidency of Joe Biden. Barrasso noted that many Americans aren’t saving money because of escalating costs and many households are using their savings just keep up with inflation.

Wyoming’s senior senator did not hold back during a floor speech.

President Joe Biden talked up his legislative and economic accomplishments during a visit to Colorado Wednesday. After a tour of a wind tower manufacturer in Pueblo, the president spoke on his Bidenomics agenda.

Biden used much of his speech in Pueblo to criticize U.S. House Representative Lauren Boebert from Colorado and other Republicans. In a statement Wednesday, Boebert pushed back. She criticized the President, claiming that families in her district are “being crushed by so-called ‘Bidenomics.’”

Her statement read, “On his watch, credit card debt, inflation, groceries, and gas prices have all reached record highs.” Boebert continued, “Rather than cutting wasteful federal spending and unleashing American energy production, Joe Biden continues to pander to radical extremists, lock up more land, and spend his time focused on campaign stunts and vacations rather than doing the job he was elected to do.”

Senator Barrasso noted the president’s trip to Colorado and the campaign rhetoric that will accompany the visit.

Biden had planned to make the trip to Colorado in October, but it was postponed after war broke out between Israel and Hamas. Biden won Colorado in 2020 with 55.4% of the vote, compared to former President Donald Trump’s 41.9%.

New inflation data out this week shows that prices are 17% higher than the day President Biden took office.
