Although students in Carbon County School District One will have to pay for meals beginning again in the upcoming academic year, the district’s free summer food service program is ramping up next week.

The summer meals offered several times a week through a food truck at various parks in Rawlins and Sinclair are funded through a separate USDA program and help ensure that people age 18 and under don’t go hungry in June and July. Cali O’Hare reports.
