The City of Rawlins is without an economic development director. Nate Davison exited the position after 10 months on the job. No explanation was given for the sudden exit, which was announced Wednesday. All details about personnel are confidential by law.

Davison was taking the lead on the “Why Rawlins” promotional campaign. The expectation was five to 30 hours a week would be required to develop the city’s new branding campaign over the next four months.

His exit, and the resulting lack of manpower to do the work, means the promotional project is postponed temporarily. No timeline has been set to relaunch the effort.

Mira Miller, the assistant to the city manager, said city council will meet to discuss the economic development position before seeking a replacement.
