In Rawlins, the landfill and recycling division processes about 78 tons of trash and 1,800 pounds of recyclables each day. It’s one of seven Public Works sections essential to keeping the community safe and healthy.

Cali O’Hare spoke with the landfill crew and filed this report as part of a series on National Public Works Week.
