The Great Pumpkin is coming for October. A truckload of 500 pumpkins is headed for Rawlins, as part of a month-long fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce.

The Rawlins Chamber has partnered with grassroots group, Rawlins Proud, to turn Depot Park into a literal pumpkin patch that families can visit throughout the month of October.

A Harvest Day Festival is also planned, complete with pumpkin carving and costume contests. Cali O’Hare spoke with the event organizer and has the story.
