A pair of brothers missing from Rawlins were found safe this week.

On Monday afternoon, Rawlins police responded to a call concerning two runaway children. Lieutenant Jared Frakes said the two brothers, 13-year-old Skyler and 12-year-old Luke Pickett, were reported missing by their mother. Lt. Frakes said the brothers were located and safely returned home.

Lt. Frakes said the boys’ mother reported them as runaways around noon on Monday. He said Rawlins PD located the children about three and a half hours later.

Where the brothers went and who they were with is unknown at this time. Lt. Frakes said he was unable to release any details other than that the boys were unharmed. He said the fact that the case involved minors meant he wasn’t free to discuss the matter further.

The Rawlins Police Department asked for assistance in finding the boys on their Facebook page. In the post, the police say the boys were suspected to be with their older sister and her boyfriend. In the comments on the post, a person claiming to be the boys’ grandmother said that they were never missing and, “Their mother took a personal matter to an out of control level.”

You can never blame a mom for being concerned about her kids. Bigfoot99 is glad to report a happy ending and the boys were located alive and well.
