A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Sierra Madre and Snowy Mountain Ranges due to potentially heavy and accumulating snow early this week. Snow will likely begin Monday night and fall through the day on Tuesday. The mountains could pick up 8 to 14 inches of snow, especially for elevations above 8,000 feet. The National Weather Service advises that periods of heavy snow, reduced visibility and drifting snow are possible.
