Freshman Cam Manywau led the Cowboys with 15 points, shooting four of five from the field, seven of ten from the free throw line and grabbing 10 rebounds in 23 minutes play, doing all could to stave off the loss to CSU.

Still the Rams came out on top, 70-62 in a hard-fought battle.

The Pokes tied the contest with six minutes left, but CSU hit clutch baskets late to earn a season split of the series.

With the loss the Cowboys fall to 6-10 in conference play with the tournament looming. Head Coach Jeff Linder liked the aggressive Cowboy effort he saw Saturday on the road in Fort Fun.

The Cowboys return to action on Tuesday hosting Air Force in the Arena-Auditorium for a 6:30 p.m. start on Senior Day. We’ll have that game for you here on Bigfoot 99.
