NCAA Tournament: Utah State beat No. 9 seed TCU 88-72 on Friday night, ending a 10-game tournament losing streak stretching back to 2001.

Ian Martinez scored 21 points to lead the Aggies, who will face top-seeded Purdue on Sunday in the second round of the Midwest Region.

Also on Friday, San Diego State advanced, holding off 12th seeded UAB in a first round 69-65 win. Jaedon LeDee scored 32 points in the win including scoring at the rim, hitting a midrange jumper, throwing down a dunk and hitting a three-pointer — all in the first five minutes of the game.

In Sunday’s games, Utah State fell to No. 1 seed Purdue 106-67 in the second round of the NCAA tournament Sunday.

San Diego State defeated No. 13 seed Yale on Sunday 85-57.
