From Laramie, Wyoming to Buffalo, New York, the Cowboys have been the watchword this week.
Second-year head coach Jay Sawvel was in Laramie this week extolling the improvements to his team over the last year. In Buffalo, former head coach Craig Bohl showed up to a Bills news conference.
Meanwhile, the University of Wyoming unveiled a branding partnership with the Bills using big screen TVs in the stadium during Saturday’s pre-season game with the New York Giants, declaring the “University of Wyoming Red Zone” inside the 20-yard line. Fans can be on the lookout for UW’s branding this season.
It’s a big week for the Pokes. Buffalo standout quarterback Josh Allen was inducted into the Wyoming Sports Hall of Fame this week. With his former Wyoming Coach in the back of the room on Tuesday, Allen was peppered with questions about his time at Wyoming.
The University of Wyoming will be the official home game sponsor in Buffalo on November 16 when the Bills host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. School officials will be at Highmark Stadium on that Sunday to distribute Brown and Gold merchandise and promote the university.
Back in Laramie, the Cowboys will host an open practice tonight inside War Memorial Stadium. The event starts at 7:30. Gates open at 7 p.m. Parking will be available in the Ford Lot on the East side of the stadium. No photos or video will be allowed inside War Memorial Stadium during practice.
